DELL PowerConnect 2816買ったよ
また、買ったよネタですｗ
今回はL2スイッチです。と、いってもただのL2スイッチじゃありませんｗ
DELL PowerConnect2816は、タグVLAN対応でJumb Frameにも対応してます。
しかもしかも、制限付きではあるけどCLIとGUIで管理までできちゃったりしますｗ
ポートミラーリングだってできちゃう！もうなんでもありなL2スイッチです。
このスイッチですがこれでもかっ！てぐらいの機能を持っていながら
めちゃくちゃ安いんです(機能の意味が解っていればですが)。
STP機能もあるのでもちろんスパニングツリーの構築もOKですよ！
(L2スイッチが壊れるってのは超まれな気がしますが。。。）
まぁこんな極悪スイッチですが、かった目的は来週到着予定のiSCSIのためです。
パフォーマンスを出すためにJumb Frameに対応してるL2スイッチ欲しかったし
なにより物理ポートが足りなくなってきちゃってるんです。
16ポート以上あるスイッチでギガビットイーサ対応っていうと
市販品でもそれなりにしちゃうんですよね。
中途半端なの買うぐらいなら、少しコストをかけたスイッチにしてもいいよね？
ってことでこれを選びました。メーカーで選ぶならHPのProCurveが良かったんですが高かったｗ
ちょっとここで簡単にスタートアップガイドでも。。。
①検品&初期動作確認ｗ
②シリアルコンソールを繋ぐ
③クライアントPCのIPを設定
④初期設定
⑤管理画面にブラウザからログイン
①検品&初期動作確認ｗ
これは最も大事？ｗ なめてかかると後で痛い目みます！
ってことでランプと全ポートのリンクアップを確認！！
②シリアルコンソールを繋ぐ
本体に付属してきたシリアルケーブルを繋いで、ターミナルから接続する。
③クライアントPCのIPを設定
Powerconnect 2816は、ブラウザから各種設定や管理をすることができます。
その接続先IPがデフォルトで『192.168.2.1』になっています。
ってことで、管理用に接続するクライアントPCをひとまずこのネットワークに変更。
ブラウザから『192.168.2.1』へ接続を試みます。
つながらない場合は、managedモードになっていない可能性があるので
フロントのmanaged modeボタンを押します。
左側にあるmanaged modeランプが点灯していることを確認。
パスワードの設定をして次の画面で設定ファイルの読み込みなどを聞かれます。
気にせずapplyしてｗ再起動させます。
④初期設定
ターミナルを眺めていると起動ログが落ち着いたころに初期設定に移ります。
ターミナルにて初期設定を行います。
※もし下記のものが出てこない場合は、managed modeに変更すれば初期設定ができるはずです。

初期設定ですることは、『SNMP設定』『ユーザ設定』『ブラウザ管理用IP』
『GW設定』ぐらいです。
⑤管理画面にブラウザからログイン
ブラウザから初期設定した管理用IP『192.168.100.2』へ接続を試みます。
※クライアントPC側のIPも事前に変更しておくこと。
正常に接続できればあとはお好みに合わせてカスタマイズするだけです。
そういえばIEで管理画面を見ると怪しい感じになってました。
変更したはずの管理用IPに接続してもその画面に遷移できないとか。。。
Firefoxの方がいい気がします。変に混乱したので。
